How About ANOTHER $50 Visa Gift Card Giveaway?!

I am excited to offer another $50 Visa card giveaway!! I am also working on a post to update about our family, but I haven't gotten it finished yet!

BlogHer asked me to do a review for another Head & Shoulders product, Head & Shoulders Apple Hair Care, and I decided to try it out.

Head & Shoulders Apple Hair Care is pH balanced for everyday use even on color treated or permed hair. It's designed to relieve itchy scalp, dryness, and irritation, and helps prevent flakes while improving hair and scalp, and it smells like Granny Smith apples!

I received my bottles of Head & Shoulders Apple Hair Care shampoo and conditioner last month and started using it that day.

My husband, Jim, also gave it a try and has used it ever since! He really loves it. He has very dry skin and said he really likes the way his hair and scalp feel after using this shampoo and conditioner.

We both love the clean, fresh green apple scent that lasts all day. It smells so good! Head & Shoulders's collection of soothing products promises to ease three scalp and dandruff problems: dryness, itchiness, and sensitivity. With 84% of surveyed scalp issue sufferers concerned about these issues, Head & Shoulders has combined the effectiveness of their HydraZinc formula to alleviate these conditions leaving your hair beautifully flake free* *visible flakes, with regular use. Up to 100% flake free.

I was curious if I would like Head & Shoulders Apple Hair Care shampoo and conditioner. I liked the way the Itchy Scalp products I reviewed in November made my hair feel, but my skin was very itchy after I used them, so I wondered if the Head & Shoulders Apple Hair Care shampoo and conditioner would also make me itchy.

Well, first I'll say I loved the scent. In comparison to the Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp shampoo and conditioner, I didn't feel like it was quite as moisturizing. My hair didn't feel as silky, but it smelled very good. My skin on my arms was a little itchy but not too bad after I put some lotion on.

So, as for recommending Head & Shoulders Apple Hair Care shampoo and conditioner, Jim would definitely recommend them both. I would recommend it but with caution for anyone who may have extra sensitive skin like I have.

I did love that apple scent and think you will too!

Nice for you to be able to try the products. Sounds fun. I bet the Apple scent was great. Might give it a try. Sure would love to win that gift card! :)

If I am getting ready for a date, I like to pamper myself for the entire day. Pedi, mani, long relaxing bath, and then Ilove being able to take my time while getting ready. Definitely while listening to some music.

Yay!!! Love a giveaway:) and looking forward to your family update too!
Huh, what do I do to get ready for a date night?! Well it's been a while since we had one of those. Usually take the kiddos to my parents (typically who watches the kids) then go home and get ready with a nice warm relaxing shower, then lotion, make-up, fix hair and go out for our date.

Our routine typically includes rushing home from work to squeeze in a shower and nights out usually consist of dinner and movie. Thanks for the chance to win.

Thanks for the giveaway!
Routine: Shower. Makeup. Hair. Check the hair. Check the makeup. Check the hair. Peruse closet. Kick myself for not picking out something earlier. Pick an outfit. Get dressed. Jewelry. Check the hair. Grab my purse. Out the door.

Yep. That's about how I roll! Thanks again!

I would love to win - and need to try the new Head and Shoulders! I love apple scents!!

Wow! Nights Out are very rare around here! :)
But I like to keep it simple. Makeup, a nice outfit...oh and a shower (which at times can also be rare!) ;)

samantharaymond82 said...

I'm a no frills kind of gal. So my typical routine involves a quick shower, and if I am feeling fancy I will blow dry my hair afterwards.

Janet said...

Night out? What's that? LOL! Can't say that I really have a routine, because finding a babysitter lately is very challenging!

Emily said...

A night out? What is that? :) I guess my prep would be to put on an outfit my husband likes, fluff myself up, spray some perfume, and then give my son 9,000 hugs and kisses before heading out the door.

Janet said...

Because I'm in South Africa, I can't take part in this, but just wanted to say how cool it is to see a product that I can buy here! So many times, the products are not available in SA! :) Looking forward to your family update!

Kaycee said...

My routine for getting ready for a night out is honestly not real impressive! :) I try to dry my hair that morning (instead of putting it up) and I might touch up my make-up a bit. Mostly I just dash out the door as is!

m&msmommy said...

A night out? What's that? ;) On the rare chance that I do get a night out with hubby, here's my routine...first, I make sure hubby is showered, dressed and ready to go, so he can watch the kids and I can actually get ready! :) Then I shower, blow dry and straighten my hair, put on a little eyeliner., get dressed and voila! I'm ready! :)

Ashley said...

My routine to get ready is usually pretty fast! I typically shower and let my hair dry a bit while I get dressed and put on my make-up. Then, I finish up my hair and accessorize!

My routine for getting ready for a date night starts with a shower. I have very greasy hair and I need to wash it every day. Then, simple make up, hair-do and pick out the outfits….maybe my husband’s too.

I would LOVE that gift card! =). And that apple scent sounds like it would smell tasty...

Getting ready for a date night...hmmm...well it's definitely a lot less involved than it was pre-twins! haha =)

- actually dry and straighten my hair after a shower (oh, and TAKE a shower that day!)

- put on all forms of make up, not just mascara and lip gloss.

- wear something other than my ubiquitous yoga pants! =)

Yup, like I said, not nearly as involved as it used to be, but I wouldn't trade it!!! =0

ps can't wait to hear the family update!I miss reading about those sweet peas of yours!

Getting ready for a date...with 5 kiddos it is not always easy, but I usually wait until later afternoon to shower and start getting ready. I get the baby down for a nap and let the big kids watch a movie. I take a LONG shower and go all out on the hair and make-up!! Date nights are always fun, fun, but too far apart!

i love oil of olay products and use them quite often.

kmbutrfly said...

yay! i would love to win : ) my routine involves trying on lots of clothes until i settle on what i really feel great in, both for me and my hubby, and then i spend some time in the mirror doing hair & makeup, usually with a flat iron either to smooth out my hair or enhance my natural curls. i keep my makeup pretty natural but like to "glow" a little. if i have time to spare, prior to all that, i'd take a luxurious shower, shave, lotion up, and blow out my hair...but either i don't have time or i do that the night before or in the morning. i try to make it fun and relaxed because that's the best way to start a night out!

My date night routine is a shower, shave, lotion and spray my favorite fragrance all while listening to the good music to get good vibes going. Then I give my hair a bouncey blow out while listening to the latest news just so i'm caught up and not caught off guard if any current events come up. Last but not least I stare at my closet or am in and out of outfits for the minimum of 30 minutes trying to find something that makes me feel comfortable and look great. Lol* even if I try to plan an outfit a head I still spend forever on clothes T___T
