The Grammys/An Update
In case you missed it, I posted an update on our family below. For some reason, it won't allow comments on that post so if you want to leave me a comment, you can here, and I will still be notified of your comment.
So.... Can someone please explain to me what that was on the Grammys? I didn't who Nicki Min@j was before tonight, and I really didn't understand her performance. Can someone please explain it to me?
Now Adele, I just love her voice, and Jim and I totally laughed out loud when she said "snot" during her last acceptance speech! HA!
Just saw this online and still don't get what she thought she was doing. I just sat in disbelief and wasn't sure if I should ask for forgiveness for watching it or not!

I think we all need to pray for this girl.

yeah um.....that was interesting? She usually just raps/sings but this was weird!
Just read your kid's update post. I just am amazed at how well Bennett is doing. He is one MIRACLE kid!!!
I didn't see the Grammy's, but I can imagine Nikki Manaj (or however you spell her name) was interesting. Her songs are catchy, although watching her perform is a little strange. Then again, I love Lady Gaga, sooooo, who knows. :)
Wonderful update on your family. Those children of yours are just so precious and it gives my heart such a joy everytime I see how well Mr. Bennett is doing.
Leveta
I enjoyed the update on your family and am amazed at how far Bennett's come.
I didn't watch the Grammy's and am not able to copy the link to see what you're referring to. Darn it.
You neglected to tell us how you lost 20 pounds!!!
Great pictures. We are bringing home our first adopted child after four bio kids this March. She is two years old and waiting for us in China. Thanks for your inspiration!
So happy Bennett is doing so well. Your kids are beautiful.
I am older (56) and not Catholic, but I was very offended and disturbed by Nicki Minaj. It was wrong on so many levels. My husband and I muted it, and I knitted and my husband read for a little bit. I felt weird even watching it.
I love your sweet family!
I am just in awe of Bennett's progress. Wow. It is such a blessing to watch him grow...he is skinny, but is truly blossoming and growing like a weed! :) He looks just like you too. :)
reason why it felt "wierd" to watch it was because it was demon inspired! I'm a Christian and haven't listened to secular music or watched secular movies since I got saved 17 yrs ago. That's my old life, I walk in the new. So I would never watch the grammys in the first place. We are in the world but we don't need to be part of (or watch what the world does). Don't think Jesus would be into all these immoral music acts/songs/movies that are out now, so I'm sure it's not good for Christians to watch either if they claim to be born again. Watching/listeneing is just opening up a door to Satan. Our eyes and ears are the gatekeepers to our souls and we need to be careful what goes through those gates if we want our soul to be preserved for Heaven.
^^^^ Could not agree more with you. As Born Again Christians we need to separate ourselves from this world as much as we can. It doesn't mean hiding from everyone/everything, but we have to always be sensitive to our God-given conscience. A few Scripture verses:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:1-2
"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron" 1 Tim 4
