Happy Valentine's Day

My sweet girl loved Valentine's Day. She was so excited to see her little treats we got the kids this morning. I let them eat chocolate for breakfast, and they thought that was just the craziest most wonderful thing ever. After breakfast we made valentines, and Lily took lots of time making hers. She actually wanted to do more when we were done!

The kids and I baked cookies and made special valentines and surprised Jim at work yesterday, and then today he surprised me with 2 dozen gorgeous red roses! They are beautiful!

After nap time today, the kids ate more chocolate ;-) and took baths to get nice and clean before Daddy came home for dinner and so we could have more time to play together before bed. Once Jim came home, we played, watched a movie, and then ordered pizza for the kids for dinner.

We put the kids to bed and then turned on Netflix to catch up on our favorite tv shows. Owen got up about an hour into our first show, and then Jim fell asleep and has now been snoozing beside me on the couch for the past two hours while I sit in the quiet, enjoying the time to myself before we get up and do it all again tomorrow. Well, maybe not all of it, but I have a feeling I'll be asked to give chocolate with breakfast again. ;-)

Although we didn't go out, and we didn't get much kid-free time, it was still a special day! I am thankful every day, not just today, for my forever valentine. We've spent 15 Valentine's Days together, and I am hoping and praying for many many more.
